adidas Fingersave Replique

This glove is a standard mid-priced glove (about $50).  It is boned with the Adidas ESS palm material.  One of our testers has been wearing this glove for about two months.  During that time, it has seen some significant work. They have been used for a total of about 32 hours of practice and 8 games.

From the first game, they displayed two odd characteristics:  The gloves were of an unusually poor quality for Adidas gloves and the palm surface was inconsistent.  One of the bones broke in the first game.  The palms and seams have worn unusually fast.  They now have rips in two unrelated seams.

Most keeper gloves are designed to be slightly damp for best grip.  The adidas Fingersave Replique were exceptionally sticky initially, but lost much of that grip with a little bit of wear.  The palm is definitely a dry condition glove as it will become slick if they get too wet.

They make a decent practice/training glove, but I would not recommend them under match conditions.

Trivia... adidas has never been spelled with capital letters.  The founders of adidas and Puma were brothers.
