Selsport Titanium Pro-Tect FP GK Glove
Selsport is a British company offering Goal Keeper products. They have taken a focused value oriented approach to their products. This has been our first opportunity to sample their products and we are impressed. The Titanium Pro-Tect FP is mid priced ($65) gloved that has been fairly durable. The palm is a very soft and sticky latex.
We have been testing this glove in practice only, but it has been used in several scrimmages. All five fingers have removable bones. Players familiar with Fingersave gloves may choose to play without the thumb bone. The thumb also features a wrap around of the palm material to aid in throwing. The palm contains embedded titanium fiber to enhance the wet weather grip and the durability.. The FP stands for Flat Palm as opposed to a pre-curved design. The Titanium Pro FP features a low density padded backhand further enhancing its use as a training glove.
After two months of practice, only the finger tips show much wear; however, there is one seems has ripped slightly. It has not affected the play of the glove, so we have continued to test. With only one set of gloves, we can not tell if this is a defect in this pair, unusual wear (the keeper said the rip was his fault), or a design flaw. Unfortunately, Selsport seem to be a bit overwhelmed. I have not been able to contact anyone at the company for clarification or for an alternate set of gloves to test.

If they ripped, how can you say they held up well? What was the keeper doing to cause the rip?
