adidas Teamgeist Ball

The Teamgeist line begins with a basic recreational ball and goes through the official MLS and world cup ball.  Our test ball was the Replique ($25).  The replique is a fair training ball, but not match quality.  The graphics have held up well through dozens of training sessions and simulated games.

The ball has good weight and balance.  The cover is hand stitched polyurethane, so it can be a bit slick when wet.  It does have a good feel.  The ball has retained its shape thanks to a latex bladder.  Unfortunately, latex loses more air than other bladder materials.

The graphics on the teamgeist line look like a peanut.  It actually makes a good demonstration point.  We have used it as a target to teach young players the proper striking point and to teach older players how to bend the ball.
