DC Graphik Slide Sandal
The Graphik Slide ($25) is a typical pre/post game sandal. They have a one piece slide upper with a deep supportive contoured foot bed. The slides work well with or without socks.
The Slide is available in True Red/White or Black/White. The synthetic leather upper is dominated by the DC logo with a contrasting border. The upper lining is smooth and cushioned making these more comfortable than the Velcro slide variety. The midsole is formed into a comfortable cushioned foam. The outsole uses a durable plastic “pill” pattern. The outsole provides adequate traction on dry surfaces, but may be slick on wet grass.
These slides are very comfortable. The deep contour of the midsole keeps the sandal in the foot with little effort. The one piece strap makes it easy slip the foot in/out. The materials seem to be fairly sturdy. The outsole shows no appreciable wear after a few miles and the strap has not stretched when moving from socks to bare feet.
DC is a skater brand and has additional cache’ with a certain constituency. Our True Red pair certainly gets more attention than the typical black après-sport slip-ons, but they are really bright red. Our testers either loved the style or hated the color. Everyone liked the feel and the ease of use. DC, based in San Diego, is known for making long lasting footwear. DC is a division of Quiksilver.
