adidas Avantis Jersey
The Avantis ($23) club team jersey from adidas is a vee-neck shirt that provides good ventilation and wicking. There are limited color choices, but most of the basics are available. The Avantis is a color/accent style with piping at the chest seam.
Most adidas jerseys use a combination of mesh venting and synthetic wicking materials. The Avantis is no exception. While it does not use the ForMotion design, it does use ClimaLite. This combination of fabrics and design create airflow and remove moisture. Our example is a silver/black jersey with white piping. The adidas tri-stripe logo is embroidered on the center front. The colors are not exciting, but the style is eye catching. The black (or white) stripe at the side is made from a mesh fabric that is almost sheer to aid airflow around the body. The main body is a light weight moisture management material. The collar is a vee neck.
This jersey is definitely above club level. The jerseys are available in 11 team color / accent color combination + solid white and solid black. The kits are of high quality materials, but too pricy for recreational leagues. The AVID Soccer testers found the Avantis more comfortable that average rating it as a 8 out of 10. It has cleaned up easily and does not show any signs of wear or fading. The vee collar makes donning/doffing the jersey easier and adds style points.
