adidas Fingersave Carbon

The adidas FS Carbon ($140) is a 2005 model that is still available at some retail outlets.  They are a respectable training level glove that should be available at a significant discount.  The Carbons are a all weather glove with no venting.  They have palms have carbon shards embedded in the latex for durability.

Like all of the adidas Fingersave gloves, the Carbon have bones in the fingers and none in the thumb.  These gloves are fairly durable.  The E3S foam on the palms and thumb is not as soft or as sticky as the newer versions.  The gloves are very durable.  The lack of tackiness in the palm can actually be an advantage in training.  Because the keeper must use more care to stop the ball, the focus on technique and can not rely on the gloves to stop the ball in wet conditions.

As training gloves, the Carbon is a good balance between price (about $45 at the time of this writing) and durability.  The E3S foam is a thick 4mm providing both padding for repeated shots and abrasion resistance.  The backhand is a single synthetic leather piece.  It does not have any padding to protect from impacts.
