At $20, the Kappa Defender jersey is a great bargain.  This goal keeper jersey has a simple style with bright colors.  The bright green/yellow color combination is different from most team jerseys and from the referees making it a good back-up.  There is no padding in the sleeves or shoulders.

The Defender is a three season jersey.  It is a 100% polyester microfiber that does a good job of wicking moisture away from the skin.  This is not a hot weather jersey as there is no venting and the fabric is fairly thick.  The collar is two pieces with a slightly lower front making it a bit more comfortable.  Neither the collar or the sleeves have any ribbing or elastic.  There is also a logo band that travels down the shoulder and sleeves.

Kappa also uses black thread at the major seams giving the impression of piping without the extra fabric or stiffness.  The jersey also has an embroidered logo at the chest.  The Kappa logo is one of the most distinctive in soccer.  In fact, you might have seen something very similar on the mud flaps of trucks everywhere.  The two female silhouettes sitting back to back are noticeable, but in a way I would choose for myself or my children.
