The Duo Ortho-Tec ($135) is the top of the line Reusch glove.  It features removable bones in all fingers and the thumb.  The palm is a very sticky latex and the backhand is padded.  The glove is pre-curved and the fingers are splayed to fit an open hand position.

These gloves have some unique features on the palm.  The "Duo Mega Foam" latex is creased at the joints making it easier to close the fingers.  Given that this is a thick 4mm latex and the gloves are also padded on the inside of the palm for added protection, this welcome.  The gloves are neither the stickiest or the most durable we have tested, but they provide a good balance between the two. 

The backhand is made of an elastic material that stretches to provide a comfortably tight fit.  Like the fingers, each of the joints is embossed to facilitate movement.  The rolled thumb has a special notch that also improves flexibility.  The wrist closure is also lightly padded for impact protection and the elastic makes for a secure fit.  The glove does have some venting, but not much.

The bones are a multi-density material patented by Reusch, but similar to the stays that adidas uses.  They are definitely match quality.  Other unique features in the construction include elastic threads for the main seams.  This reduces the probability of a tear.  There is also additional elastic backing on the thumb joint for the same reason.

Overall, these gloves are a great value.  They are equal or better than gloves costing $150-$200 and the unique features make the Duo Ortho-Tec a sure nominee for the upcoming AVID Soccer Equipment 'Goal Keeper Glove of the Year' awards.
