Keeping the extremities warm can often make a player much more comfortable and allow them to concentrate on the game.  The Brine Field Player Gloves ($15) are simple fleece gloves with latex pads.  They provide warmth and adequate grip for throw-ins.

Dressing properly for cold weather can make a big difference in a players enjoyment of the game and their ability to play at his/her peak.  The gloves are constructed of a micro-fleece that is both soft and warm.  The latex is not as soft or as tacky as that used on goal keeper gloves, but it is appropriate for purpose.  A very wet ball will still slip, but not as much as a regular fleece glove.

The gloves also have an elastic and Velcro cuff to keep the gloves in place.  Our medium pair should fit up to a size 9 hand.  If your hands are long and skinny, then order a size larger.  The fingers may be a bit short for the width.  If your hands are wider, the gloves should fit fine.

We found the gloves easy to clean and maintain.  The latex is more durable than that used on most goal keeper gloves and should last for several seasons.
