adidas Predator PowerSwerve TRX FG

The latest generation Predator, designed in part by Zidane, evolves the line.  The signature control stripes on the outside have been upgraded, the PowerPulse insert is now dynamic.  Available in White/Red and Black/Red.

The predator is the adidas power platform, making it a heavier boot than the F50+.  It has several defining characteristics:  The heel counter  rises high in the back and sides to provide a true heel cup.  It uses multi-density plastics to balance support with flexibility.  The tongue folds over the asymmetrical lacing patterns.

The control stripes are now constructed of silicone giving them more grip in all weather conditions.  The biggest change is the PowerPulse module.  The module is an insert that puts extra weight in toe to increase inertia.  In last year's Predator Absolute, the module was simply a weight.  This year, the module is filled with silicon pellets.  This allows the weight to be more evenly distributed when the foot is flat on the ground or running.  The kicking motion throws the silicon to mid-foot during transition and to the toe on extension.  The amount of weight is small, but can be felt.

Like previous generations, this Predator is among the most comfortable boots we have tested.  The soft leather and molded foot bed are accommodating and  supportive even after a full practice session.  The PowerPulse module can be swapped for a non-weighted version, but the clear panels in the outsole show that silicone pellets and that is just plain cool.
