Diadora offers a comprehensive selection in their boot lines.  The Maracana ID ($89) fills the indoor role.  This shoe shares the family DNA using the same hybrid upper, axeler wire and touch control.

The Maracana indoors are lighter than our baseline shoes.  The upper is a blend of kangaroo leather and fabric.  The leather is lined with a stretch resistant material.  The fabric, located at the arch and collar, provide additional flexibility and breathability.  The Maracana line also shares Touch Control stitching to provide additional ball control.  The sock liner is removable.  The midsole is an EVA foam for shock absorption.

Unlike many indoor shoes, these also feature a quality heel cup.  This provides a good deal of additional ankle support that is welcome in the fast pace of futsal.  The outsole is constructed of gum rubber and feature an Axeler wire.  Unfortunately, the last family attribute is the laces.  All three implementations of the Maracana we tested have the same long shoe laces.  On a grass boot, this isn't a problem because the can be wrapped underneath and tied on top.  On the turf shoe, it is problematic but livable.  On the indoor, it is annoying.  There is no good way to tie them and the slippery nylon doesn't stay tied anyway.

Laces aside, these are quality boots.  They are more flexible than the Samba's we tested earlier.  They also breath better.  We tested these for basketball (not great), futsal (outstanding) and volleyball (remarkably good).  They are also fairly comfortable as an all around/all day walking shoe.
