Brine Triumph 20-500 Training Ball

Brine introduced the Triumph in 2007.  The 20-500 ($40) is a replica of the 600 that won the AVID Soccer Match Ball shoot-out last year.  This ball carries much of the DNA and style at a training ball price.

AVID Soccer Equipment Review Brine Triumph 20-500The Triumph 20-500 is a quality training ball.  Brine uses their AirTech bladder for retention.  We have found these bladders to hold air better than natural latex, but still provide very good feel.  The cover is the Triumph is a standard 32 panel polyurethane.  The cover is hand-stitched and available in Black, Navy, Royal (matches the 600) and scarlet.  The hurricane graphic on the Triumph remains one of the coolest to have passed through AVID Soccer.  The tri-bladed spiral is complemented by a watermark of Brine's iconic triangles.

We tested our Navy example side by side with the 600.  With few exceptions, our testers could find little difference between last years Best Ball and its replica sibling.  A definite compliment to the 500.  Brine does not test its balls for the FIFA logos; however, the 500 meets both the NFHS and NCAA specifications.  This ball definitely qualifies as a match level ball at the club or high school level.
