Belkin Zune Gen 2 80 Armband

Belkin Zune Gen 2 80 Armband

The Zune is a great tool, but without a way to use it during training, it is just a toy.  The armband ($30) lets the device be used during a run, warm-ups or on the sideline.  Constructed of Neoprene and Velcro, the Belkin works well.

AVID Soccer Equipment Review Belkin ArmbandWe have been using the armband for several weeks under a variety of conditions.  It works well as long as it fits the users arm.  Constructed of a combination of neoprene (main body and band), Velcro closure and a plastic face.  the controls are easy to operate through the plastic, but they do not work as well as outside of the case.  The clear section allows full visibility, but it scratches easily and shows finger prints.

The case holds the Zune securely.  It is easy to get in and out and shows little sign of stretching.  On the positive side, it is comfortable and durable.  It handles sweat well and does not bounce or bind on the arm.  The case even has a key pocket and will hold a few dollars behind the Zune in the main pocket.  On the down side, the band is not long enough for larger arms and there is no way to sync/charge the Zune in the case.  The headphone jack is also right at the edge of the top opening.

In the end, it is the only product of its type available for the Zune 80.  It does a good job with some minor inconveniences.
