The Calle shorts are designed as much for everyday use as for play.  The Vamps ($40) are a bit longer average.  They are fitted around the legs making it easier to move.

Both the Via and Via Vamps are cut the same with a 12" inseam.  The Vias are pinstriped.  The Vamps are solid and available in blue and brown.  They are a blend of 73/25/2 polyester/rayon/spandex to enable movement.  The synthetic fabric doesn't breath, but they are quite comfortable, even when playing.

We put the Vamps through their paces on the street and in a beach soccer game.  They held up very well and remained comfortable.  The blended fibers also clean up well and are easy to maintain.

In general, we liked the look of the solid Vamps better than the Via's, but both were appreciated by our testers, and both have been seen on the local campuses.
