While AVID Soccer is all about our game, we all spend most of our time off the pitch.  In order to make that time as enjoyable as possible, adidas, Calle Republic and Nike bring style and fun.

I have to admit, that the Lifestyle Category has become my favorite to write about.  Considering that it represents about 25% of all the articles read, you must agree with me.  This year, we saw innovation from Calle; team spirit from Nike; and player history from adidas.

Unlike our other categories, lifestyle is really all about design and desireablility.  Each of our nominees fills a different role.

Calle Rilo Street Shoe ($70)

The street shoe is part indoor shoe, part skate shoe and completely cool.  They are comfortable, durable and perfectly suited to its purpose.

Nike Holland Anthem Track Jacket ($75)

Hop Holland.  The Netherlands have been a serious soccer powerhouse since the inception of Total Soccer.  The Anthem jacket celebrates the Oranje.

adidas Hero Hoodie ($55)

A step up from the usual fleece, the Hero uses a closed loop terry cloth for longevity and comfort.  it is lighter than the most hoodies and perfect for after the game or practice.  It is available with stats and colors for Chelsea's Frank Lampard and Barcelona's Lionel Messi.
